Is it Necessary?
Is a website or Search Engine Optimization(SEO) really necessary for business? This is a question that is very debatable. I have come across people that are still in the mindset where they don’t think they need a website. They think they can conduct business through old school marketing techniques.
This mindset may have worked well in the olden days, however, the world is going digital, and more than likely you’re going to need a digital footprint to survive in business. I have spoken to plenty of people that have told me when they are looking to buy something, the first place they go is the internet. They do research on all kinds of products before they decide which one to buy. Once they know what they are buying, the do more online searching to find where they are going to get the best deal.
I don’t need Search Engine Optimization
On the other hand, I have also come across people that don’t believe they need to do any Search Engine Optimization(SEO) on their website. They think they can have a website, and wait for Google to find it. This mindset isn’t going to work in business these days.
The graph shows the amount of Google searches has grown, year after year. From the start of the internet, there have been multiple different search engines. However, since the inception of Google, they have been the front runner in the Search Engine arena.
Getting a website is easy these days. If everyone has a website for their business, they are all going to be competing to be at the top of page one on Google. If you want to succeed in business, you’re going to need to optimize your website for the Search Engine.
I know this may be a daunting task, even starting a business, maybe something that isn’t in the budget. My recommendation is to re-work the budget. You’re not going to be able to succeed in business without any sort of Search Engine Optimization(SEO)
