Social media and business

I was recently in a job interview. I offered to do some Social Media work for the business. Unfortunately, the owner of the company was an older gentleman and did not see the benefits.

For me, Social Media is a great way to promote your business, products, and services. You can share sales and upcoming events that you want people to know about.

I Use it all the time

I use Social Media to promote my blog articles as well as my YouTube videos. If you do it right you can grow your online presence to direct traffic to your website. You can also use Social Media to direct people to your brick and mortar store.

Facebook is a great way to connect and interact with your customers. You can ask a question, create polls and figure out what your customers like and don’t like.  Twitter can also be used to share your upcoming sales and promotions. Use both as promotional tools.

Customers use It

As much as you don’t like it, people will also post their opinion of your business on Social Media. If they had a good experience that is great news. However, if they had a bad experience you’re going to hear about it. This is good though, this gives you a chance to show your customers how you handle business-related issues.

In this day and age, it’s going to be very hard for a business to survive without Social Media. 81 percent of Americans have and use Facebook and Twitter in their daily lives. 79 percent of shopping is done online. However, If you can increase your online presence, you can direct traffic to your shopping cart.

What are you using Social Media for? How is it affecting your business? Leave a comment and let me know. If you have any questions please feel free to Contact Me.
