Logo Design Tips, whether you’re doing it yourself, or you have a graphic designer. There are a few things to keep in mind for Logo Design.
Represent Your Business.
First Logo Design Tip is make sure your logo implies your business. The logo is the centerpiece in your business branding. You want customers to look at your logo and have some idea of what your business is. As a pretty good example you can look at my YouTube logo. It’s got the YouTube logo inside a camera aperture. If you don’t know what an aperture, or the YouTube logo is, that might not make sense. However, for those that do it’s a great logo.
Don’t Hurt the Eyes.
Second Logo Design Tip, use contrast, this shouldn’t have to be said, however I’ve seen some logos that are hard to read, because there is no contrast in the logo. If there is no contrast the colors bleed together and makes it harder to read. The addition to contrast makes it easier to read, without hurting your eyes.
Make it Look Good.
Third and final Logo Design Tip. Make sure your logo makes sense. If your a photographer, but your logo has a paintbrush and hammer, it’s not going to show your customers what type of business you are.
When designing a website, follow the same color scheme as the logo. If you have 2 different color schemes they will work against each other and confuse the eyes. If you need help with this, contact a Graphic designer to come up with a color scheme that will work with your branding.
Make Sense.
The Logo, branding and the design of the website has to be cohesive, if one thing is off that is going to turn people off from using your services. Sit down and come up with a marketing plan before going through the logo and website design.
